Sequels, prequels, remakes…there is a lack of originality and yet know one will read my scripts.
    Funny how that works.

I plugged you guys on our latest episode of Hop on Pop Culture by the way.

I hear ya, it’s disheartening. It’s like execs are saying No no, you fools! People only want what they’ve seen before! It’ just not true, I want something new.

That’s why I think I am seeing less and less movies and adding more and more television shows to my DVR. That’s where the quality is nowadays.

    Haha, so true.

And I’d certainly be understand about a script of mine they’d read being rejected as long as they read it.
Maybe I should call a completely unrelated script City Slickers 3.

I think there are still some original films out there, but it’s mostly in the indie realm and it’s becoming harder and harder not to be one of those people who doesn’t watch Blockbusters and seems like a total douche to people who only watch popular ones because of that.

Nice show! It was fun to listen to you guys dissect the movie. I’m pleased that TS3 lived up to Lauren’s high expectations. I saw it and enjoyed it a lot, although on a less obsessive level than Lauren has. One sidetrack: I did not like the Day & Night short before TS3 nearly as much as the bouncing sheep character from Pixar earlier. Also, when I saw the movie there was only one other person in the theater and it was 11 a.m. so I couldn’t gauge crowd reaction, but I was amused enough to laugh out loud several times. My favorite line was from Mr Potatohead: You would not believe what I have been through tonight!
